The LearnTO AppStore and Android Marketplace apps were created by the communications experts at Communispond.  With more than 40 years of experience training more than 600,000 business executives how to prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, Communispond is the resource for communications skills training.  We now bring some of our most important tips & techniques for preparing and delivering great presentations to the LearnTO app.

While we believe that the best, and only, environment for acquiring critical platform skills remains the classroom, the explosion of new technologies has created opportunities for an extension of that classroom, allowing us to enhance the live Communispond experience

The Library includes more than 35 topics and over 50 podcasts with more topics added regularly.

The LearnTO™ Library takes advantage of today’s technologies that deliver high-quality multimedia content anytime and anywhere. You can access the library from the computer at your desk in the office or at home.  You can also use your Android smartphone, Android Tablet,  Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to access your LearnTO Library.

The LearnTO™ Library is available on an annual subscription basis that includes full access to all modules in the LearnTO™ Library for all employees of your company, all updates throughout the year, and ongoing support.

The LearnTO AppStore application is provided at no charge, however, you must have a valid LearnTO subscription to access the LearnTO Library from the LearnTO application.

Home Page

Login - enter username & password to log into your LearnTO account

Browse Downloaded Items - allows you to view previously downloaded items "offline" without having to log into the LearnTO server.  Select the Course Folder then the lesson (most short LearnTO's are only one lesson long so you will only see one file in the course folder) you want to view. Once you start to view a lesson, standard controls (like pause, play, fast forward, reverse, done) are available to control the playback of your lesson.  To delete a downloaded item, choose Edit (top right), select the items to delete, then press Done when completed. 

Register - link to Communispond.com website where you can register to obtain a userid & password.

Browse Downloaded Items - allows you to view downloaded items "offline".  Same function as Browse Dowloaded Items from the home page.

My Courses

Select a course to view.  Will take you to the Course Details page.  Options are:

  • View Online - view lesson online.  Requires live connection to the internet by wifi or cellular connection, Once you start to view a lesson, standard controls (like pause, play, fast forward, reverse, done) are available to control the playback of your lesson.

  • Download & Play - downloads lesson to your device for offline playback.  Lesson will start to play after download and continue to be available in the Browse Downloaded Items until deleted.

  • Sync - syncs your position in the course with the LearnTO server so, if you later login from a web browser or other device and choose "view online", the course will resume at the beginning of the last lesson you had started but not yet finished.  Your lesson status is displayed after the Sync Icon.  Please note that short LearnTOs consisting of only one lesson only sync to "Not Started" (if you have not yet watched the entire lesson) or "Completed" (once you have listened to the entire lesson". 

FAQ

  1. Do I have to go through each lesson in order?  No, you can work your way through the lessons in any order that you prefer

  2. How do I get a userid and password?   Select the Register button from the home page to be taken to a webpage where you can register for the LearnTO system.

  3. How long will it take for lessons to start? How long to download for offline viewing?  Time will depend on the speed of your internet connection.  Most 3G or wifi connections will start a "view online" lesson within 20-30 seconds after selection.   At 3G speeds, an average 5 minute lesson will usually download in less than 30 seconds!

  4. Can I watch my LearnTOs "offline"?  Yes, chose Browse Downloaded Items to view downloaded items.

  5. The app is interesting but how do I learn more about presentation skills?  Visit our website at www.communispond.com to learn more about our company.  LearnTO just gives you a small “taste” of what it takes to become a high-impact presenter.  If you want to learn more, consider taking a public Executive Presentation Skills course offered by Communispond.   The courses are offered frequently around the country or we can arrange for private coaching and/or a private program delivery at your company location.  Learn more about our public programs at http://www.communispond.com/modules/events/.
